G'Day Cafe

The Aussie Food Court (G'Day Cafe) has developed to become one of the key areas of the Australian Festival. Amazingly the festival food (and the festival in general) grew out of the tremendous support in the early years from an unlikely hero - the Outback Steakhouse. The Outback Steakhouse provided the entire food setup - staff, equipment, and product from 2000-2003 and donated all proceeds from this area to the Festival. Without this support the festival would not have existed - period. In 2004 the Australian Festival diversified directly into Australian food as the great Australian Pie become one of the stars of our event. Over the last 3 years G'Day Cafe became a key selling and promotional location for Australian food companies now based in the United States while establishing the flavor and atmosphere of the great cafe's that are found all over Melbourne and Sydney.

G'Day Cafe offered festival patrons a unique  opportunity to taste down under with a diverse range of Australian food products and companies...

  • Australian Food Products - Pies, Pasties, Sausage Rolls, and a variety of deserts.
  • Special Recognition - Jerry Wetmore, Dennis Claney, James Daniels, Mark & Wendy Allen.
  • The Great Australian Pie - The Australian Festival become a premier location for selling Australian Meat Pies and in 2005 approximately 3000 pies were sold at the festival.
